Located in Mount Hotham, Australia, the Under the Moonlight House by Giovanni D’Ambrosio Architecture is a contemporary home with hints of a traditional estate living. The residence provides a vivid view of the Australian forest beyond through large, obelisk-shaped windows made of glass and steel. While largely constructed of natural stone and wood, the home’s metal accents and unique shape create a structure that complements the surrounding environment with minimal impact to the proximal trees and natural vegetation. The spacious interior takes into consideration the brash sunlight of summer and the snowy conditions of winter that Mount Hotham experiences.
